Khatera a thousands girls
like me…
I was born a human.
But
I made a factory.
I
have ten children.
I
am still carrying my eleventh one.
My
bearded husband has four wives.
My
daughters are his victims.
When
I am pregnant,
He
raped my daughter.
She
is pregnant.
When
she is pregnant,
He
raped my other daughter.
When
she is pregnant,
He
raped my other daughter.
He
keeps on raping my daughters.
They
are his daughters too.
They are his blood too.
They are his flesh too.
I
am confused about my daughters' relationship with their father.
I
am confused about my relationship with my daughters.
I am confused about my relationship with my beard husband
When
my daughters deliver children,
I
am confused about my relationship with my grandchildren.
They
are calling me Aunty.
They
are calling me grandmother.
They
are calling him "Father."
They
are calling him grandfather
I
am confused about his relationship with his daughters and their children.
Our
Sharia Court is silent.
Our
tribal elders are silent.
Our
police are silent.
Our
Mullah said this is our way of life.
So
don’t worry about him.
He
is eyeing my other daughters.
The
court ordered a DNA test.
We
tried, but Sharia rejected our DNA test.
They
said it was not rape but consent since it is our culture.
They
brought blasphemy against questioning their laws.
According
to Sharia, I am a violator of my Quran.
I
was put to death by my Sharia court.
I
am Afghan.
This
is my status in Afghanistan.
This is my status in my migratory country.
My
status is not changing.
They
are not allowing change.
Politically
correct ideologies are not allowing change.
I am a Middle Eastern and North African woman.
This
is our status in the MENA region.
Our
human relations are dehumanized.
Our
humanity is dehumanized.
Our
human status is dehumanized for their lustful eyes.
They
want small girls.
They
want their own blood.
They
want virgin girls.
They
found it in their blood and flesh.
It
is omnipresence and omnipotence in our religion.
This is our way of life.
This
is our ideology.
We
don’t change.
We
want change.
I
want change.
But
how when I have normalized my ideology?
