The most courageous choose peace.
Director-general of the World
Health Organization (WHO), Dr.
Tedros
Adhanom Ghebreyesus, I lived and worked as an assistant professor at
Mekelle University for 4 years and one year in Addis Ababa and experienced that
the TPLF and its Tigray civil society and Ethiopian communities are well-known
for deep-rooted open corruption, plundering local, regional, national, and international
funds, and sexual exploitation of girls and women at schools, colleges, and
universities.
Tigray, or Ethiopia, is known for
killing sexual minorities openly in public places. Sexual minorities have been
criminalized for centuries in Ethiopia. Ethiopia, as I knew it, was a place for
crimes against humanity just like the Indian State. Are you saying you have
peace when you have been killing, persecuting, and criminalizing sexual
minorities for thousands of years? You never advocate for LGBTQ rights in
Ethiopia other than advocating for the lives of hegemonic masculinities and
femininities. Do you think sexual minorities deserve death?
You are one of the architects of
criminalizing sexual minorities in Ethiopia, along with your former prime
minister, Meles Zenawi
Asres. The LGBTQ communities have been criminalized and publicly killed by
Ethiopian State and its civil society till today.
“There will be no death penalty, extrajudicial killings, or judicial
killings. Judicial killing is a crime against constitutional morality, and
extrajudicial killing is a crime against humanity. Even criminals have the
right to life in prison.” Dr.Suryaraju Mattimalla
Author of the globally
acclaimed "Compatibility of the
Death Penalty with the Purpose of Criminal Punishment in Ethiopia".
