How do you understand an Assembly legislature member belonging to an Untouchable caste who is sitting on the floor of the Legislative Assembly or Parliament in India? When journalists asked him about this, the Legislature member, or Parlimember member, answered by saying that how could I sit in a chair in front of Hindu Parliament members when they are sitting in chairs? How do you understand this in a so-called successful democratic country called India? The Dalit legislature member also made huge news about the rampant practice of untouchability against untouchables even in Parliament, the Judiciary, and Administration. How do you understand this vulnerability of the untouchables? There is a huge difference between "self-esteem" and "self-respect". Dalits need self-respect more than self-esteem.
