❤️Bessy Ferrera
and Santiago "Santi" Carvajal❤️
“Both of you were so beautiful.
Both of you
were so attentive.
Both of you
were so kind.
Both of you
were so attractive.
Both of you
were ideals.
Both of you
were such advocates of humanity.
Both of you
were so cheerful.
Both of you
were so committed.
Both of you
were so active.
Both of you
were so rational.
Both of you
were so hospitable.
Both of you
were so concerned.
But
Honduras
society is like any repressive Asian, African, Islamic, or Latin American
society against our community.
They
silenced your voice with brutal force.
Our society
has been dishonest historically.
We can’t be
liberated from our social corruption.
We can’t be
liberated from our social ideology.
We can’t be
liberated from our hegemonic ideologies.
We can’t be
liberated from our drug cartels.
We can’t be
liberated from our brutal violence.
We can’t be
liberated from our humiliation.
The dead are
liberated from every moment of humiliation.
The dead are
liberated from every moment of violence.
The dead are
liberated from every moment of persecution.
Ours is a
forced death.
311 lives
are gone in just a year.
Our society
has no value for life.
Life is so
precious.
But
For them,
our lives are just like shit.
We are
living without respect.
We are dying
without respect.
We are not
universal human beings.
They are
treating us with sub-subaltern status.
Even
subalterns are treating us with sub-subaltern status.
We have
vertical hierarchies.
We have
race-based hierarchies.
We have
caste-based hierarchies.
We have
gender-based hierarchies.
We have
ethnically based hierarchies.
We have
faith-based hierarchies.
We have
class-based hierarchies.
We have
skin-colour-based hierarchies.
We are born
equal.
However,
ground reality differs from the various theories.
We are
different from others.
Sleep well,
my friends.
Rest in
peace, my once-loved.
Rest in
power, my angels.”
