RRR Movie Review: Celebration of Jingoism
Review of Roudram Ranam Rudhiram's "Rise Roar
Revolt: Celebration of Jingoism"
I just watched the Indian film RRR, directed by S.
S. Rajamouli and produced by DVV Entertainments.
Filmmakers declared that it was a fictitious film
with fictitious characters from colonial British India. The main roles are
played by actors who belong to two powerful Shudra-casteist families, i.e.,
Kamma and Kapu. The film director too belongs to the notorious Shudra-Kamma
caste. The characters belonged to another notorious Raju and tribal caste. The
movie’s budget is Rs. 300 crores.
The main characters, Raju and Komaram
Bhim, were nationalists fighting against British colonial brutalities and
trying to protect subjects from their colonial masters in pre-Independent
India. The movie projected colonial masters as
the most inhuman, brutal, bloodthirsty, racist, power-mongers, plunderers of
Indian wealth, and blood-suckers of Indians.
This fantasy movie is deeply made of emotions,
nationalism, irrationalism, and establishes another lie and jingoism through
this fantasy movie. Rajamouli's movies belong to jingoistic nationalism. His
films never reveal the social realities of the Indian way of life.
Through this
movie, caste, religion, purity, impurity, superstitions, blind beliefs,
feudalism, lies, hatred, violence, terrorism, and revenge against colonial
masters are penetrated into the hearts of the Indian educated masses. Mr.
Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, would undoubtedly enjoy this
hypocritical film and may bestow the Bharatha Ratna, the highest civilian award
in the Indian state, on SS Rajamouli. Soon or later, Rajamouli may become
Bharatha Ratna Rajamouli.
The movie is
as usual, like any Indian movie, projecting British colonial masters as brutal
and inhuman, whereas the Indian nationalist movement is humane. But the ground
reality of Indian social reality is quite the opposite of this Indian film.
As a critical historian of modern India, the movie
well-played in the hearts of not only the casteist general public of Indian
society but also the well-educated, such as university professors, doctors,
writers, authors, scholars, scientists, engineers, teachers, poets, Marxists, feminists,
liberals, atheists, etc.
Cinema theatres, online or offline, are filled
with these so-called knowledge producers. Theoretical Brahmins enjoyed the
movie made by their foot-soldiers, i.e., Kamma and Kapu.
A very
interesting point is that the messenger is, time and again, a dark-skinned
untouchable in this movie.
The Shudra director brought casteist Rajus and
traditional tribal communities under the banner of nationalism against the
British colonial masters.
The film projected Hindu terrorists as
nationalists. The social reality of Indian society disappeared in this Shudra
movie. As a historian of caste, religion, race, purity, impure, gender, and
sexuality, the Hindutva castes such as Brahmins, Rajus, Vaishyas, Shudras
(Reddy, Kamma, Kapu, etc.) are notorious for killing India’s untouchables and
raping women. In Indian society, the first four castes are known for practicing
the brutal caste system, untouchability, honor killing, lynching, dismembering,
and untouchability. The first four castes are notorious for being castes
against any social change.
The British arrived in India as merchants and
observed the Indian brutal ideologies through the caste system and Hindu
religion against tens of millions of untouchables and women. They tried to
bring civilization to Indian psychology without interfering with its Indian
ideology. They want to change barbarian Indian ideology through English
education. The British came to know that the first four Hindutva castes banned
untouchables from education for thousands of years. They wanted to introduce education
to untouchables and women.
The notorious
national movements led by pedophiles, womanizers, casteists, racists,
corrupted, feudal, capitalists, leftists, rapists, lynchers, killers, liars,
cheat, fraud, corrupted, inhuman, Marxists, feminists, liberals, writers,
authors, and poets from the first four castes of Hindu religion started at
different stages against British egalitarian and humanitarian thought at
different periods. The notorious nationalist movement
leaders mobilized their first four castes against civilized colonial masters by
practicing inhuman caste-based violence against untouchables.
The Indian
National Movement is a traditional, conservative, terrorist, casteist, racist,
and lie-based movement against civilized, colonial masters. People like Gandhi
were omnipresence and omnipotent at different stages of the national movement,
even though the British treated the first four castes equally on par with them.
British
masters, too, recognized Brahmins as equal to their white skin. Hence, they
appointed Brahmins and their foot-soldiers (Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra) in
every field that made untouchables unapproachable, even to the shadow of white
men throughout the 400 years of colonial rule in the Indian subcontinent.
The British
became Brahmin at various stages of colonial India. And the Brahmin became a
British. The Untouchables remained as they were even though the British tried
to introduce education to them. But the local dominant Hindutva castes never
allowed any untouchables to attend school till recently.
Millions of
untouchables are not allowed to attend school, even now in the 21st
century, by the first four Hindutva castes. Hindu women are no different from
Hindu men.
RRR was successful in reaching out to well- educated
uneducated Indians. Jingoism is omnipresence and omnipotence, even among the
well-educated and knowledgeable.
RRR ideology will live on.
Long live Jingoism
