The Nightingale film review

The Nightingale film review

I watched the Nightingale movie that was released in 2018. It revealed the truth about how British colonizers have killed, raped, and destroyed the lives of aboriginal or indigenous people, or African or native communities.

Alexander Murray Palmer Haley’s novel Roots: The Saga of an American Family or Aimé Fernand David Césaire’s Discourse on Colonialism or Frantz Fanon’s Black Skin, White Masks or Cornel West’s Race Matters already revealed the true savage face of white men and women against our African or black skin.

The Irish married woman was gang raped in front of her husband and killed her infant baby and her husband by British police officials, forcing her to take revenge on her tormentors. The young Irish woman, Clare, was repeatedly gang raped by British Lieutenant Hawkins and his colleagues. She wanted to take revenge against the British police officials who gang-raped her and killed her baby and husband. She took the help of an aboriginal tracker Billy to reach her tormentors.

Clare and her family members too practiced raw racism against aboriginals, even though they were victims of British colonizers. It reminds me of the story of the Indian national movement against British colonizers in India. The so-called Indian national movement took the national movement against British colonizers by claiming that British colonizers murdered and humiliated them, while the same national movement leaders practiced heinous caste system, untouchability, racism, and slavery against their fellow untouchable castes in India.

The national movement in India’s genocidal victims are untouchable castes historically. In the same way, even though Irish people were victims of British colonizers, they enslaved aboriginals and Africans. In both cases of India or Australia, the victims are not white but untouchables, blacks, or aboriginals. In any story of victories or failed stories of struggles against colonizers, the victims are not Hindu but black-skinned aboriginals, or indigenous, or untouchables. Whether it is Australia or New Zealand, Canada or India, the victims are not Hindu but untouchables and black-skinned communities across time and space.

Our victimhood is different from the so-called victimhood of whites, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis. We are victims of both local and foreign colonizers. Historically, we (untouchables, Africans, blacks, aboriginal, indigenous, and native communities) were victims of local powers and later of foreign powers. Foreign powers are limited, whereas local powers are forever from our birth to death. Local hegemony is an agent of civilizational violence from which we can’t escape. Local violence never ends except you have to escape to another world. For instance, caste-based societies to race-based or ethnic-based societies and vice-versa, but still black-skinned communities face every day mental persecution if not physical persecution.

Finally, the movie tells a true story of a colonizer and his everyday behavior with untouchables, Africans, blacks, aboriginals, indigenous, and native communities.

In the case of untouchables, the colonizer is not just a foreigner but very much a local Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, or an upper caste Christian or Roman Catholic, whereas in the case of Africans, blacks, aboriginals, indigenous, or native communities, the colonizer is a white man or woman.

Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Paresis, upper caste Christians, and Roman Catholics are local configuration powers which enslaved untouchable castes brutally for more than 6000 years till today. India’s or Nepalese or Pakistani or Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi or Japanese untouchables will never gain human status even after millions of years unless they leave India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or Japan for human status.

The movie brought the true story of how colonizers killed, raped, and lynched African aboriginals in Australia. Just to remind you that white colonizers never practiced the heinous practices that they perpetrated on Africans, blacks, aboriginals, indigenous, and native communities, against their beloved whites, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, Jains, and Paresis. They loved non-black colonies.

White colonizers treated Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, Jains, and Paresis equally on par with them, so that they never killed, raped, or destroyed the properties of whites, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, Jains, and Paresis in India. A white colonizer brutally killed and raped and enslaved Africans because they were black-skinned human beings. White men and women openly discriminated against colonies based on their skin color and race. We, as Africans or people of black skin, are victims of all non-black skin.

Our persecution is entirely different from the persecution of a non-black human being. Don’t go with politically correct slogans like "Asian Lives Matter" or "Muslim Lives Matter" etc. Asian Lives Matter or Muslim Lives Matter sloganeers are very much our genociders in our third world societies.

One of the White Masters: I want the head of that African dead at 1:49:59.

Another white master: cutting the head of an African dead at 1:50:07.

Finally, the Irish white woman, Clare survived and took her revenge against British tormentors at the cost of Belli’s life. Survivors are always hegemonic castes, races, and genders, whereas victims are blacks or untouchables or aboriginals or natives or indigenous or sexually minority people.
