Dear National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Govt of India,
The Deputy Commissioner of Police,Venkateshwarlu, Telangana, is physically manhandling the demonstrators in this video uploaded by Telugu media. According to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman, or Degrading Treatment or Punishment to which India is party and according to the European Convention on Human Rights, Article 3: "Prohibition of Torture: “No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment," the DCP clearly violates the domestic and international conventions against degrading treatments of peaceful protesters in this video.
The National Human Rights Commission is not functioning according to the Convention of International Treaties and Laws but in favor of feudal bourgeois ruling parties or Parliament. The young philosopher, scholar, intellectual, and film critic Mr. Kathi Mahesh, had been murdered with the support of film actor Mr. Pawan Kalyan at Apollo Hospital. Indian Critics, progressive intellectuals, scholars, and activists are still being killed or detained by the Indian State and its mechanisms. You have not acted seriously about Police Commissioner Mr. VC Sajjanar and Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, who killed four innocent victims, Mohammed Arif, Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu, Jollu Shiva, and Jollu Naveen, who were killed by Telangana Police on December 6, 2019, at Chattanpally near Shadnagar town. There have been tens of thousands of political and police atrocities against powerless and marginalized sections, but your commission is silent. Silence supports crimes against humanity.
This brutal video shows how much Indian or Telangana police are breaking law and order to kill and physically assault peaceful protesters. I hope you will take legal action against DCP Venkateshwarlu, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, Chief Minister Mr. Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, and the killers of Mr. Kathi Mahesh.
