"When exposing a crime is treated as committing a crime, you are ruled by criminals." Edward Snowden

"When exposing a crime is treated as committing a crime, you are ruled by criminals." Edward Snowden

Indeed, I faced the same situation that Edward Snowden described below: how we are being ruled by criminals, corrupt, uneducated, illiterate people, gangs, casteists, racists, supremacists, and religious fanatics. I used to think it happened only in third-world nations, but I have had the same experience in the Czech Republic and Germany. Three asylum camp German women's managers threatened me to delete the videos that I uploaded on YouTube by warning me that I was breaking the law. They openly supported violence, crimes, and lies. Actually, I filmed the unbearable violence of Arab asylum seekers and the corruption and unethical professional lives of Arab employees in asylum camps across Germany. The German women camp managers treated me like a criminal for highlighting the violence, crimes, corruption, and unethical lives of their allies, Arab employees, and asylum seekers in German camps. Finally, I deleted 10 videos from YouTube, even though my German lawyers replied to me regarding filming a crime that:

We are very sorry to hear about the injustice you have to face.

Of course, German law guarantees Freedom of speech (Art. 5 GG).

Nevertheless, public facilities such as asylum camps have domiciliary rights (eg §§ 858, 1004 BGB), which means, that they have the right to set up rules such as visitors bans or as in your case prohibit video recordings inside their facility.

Which is why, you can only film outside and not inside the asylum camp.

As you already know, when in filming in public you must make sure that other people shown in your videos cannot be identified since otherwise it would violate their personality right (Art. 2 Section 1 GG).

Recordings of violent acts and their dissemination can violate the "highly personal area of life" of the victim. According to § 201a of the Criminal Code (StGB), it is punishable to take or distribute recordings of a person in which his helplessness is depicted.

But § 131 Section 2 of the Criminal Code states that the prohibition on disseminating violent videos does not apply if "the act serves to report on events of current affairs or history." If the recording serves the purpose of reporting, which it does in your case, it is not punishable.

Then and now, the truth is under attack by liars across time and space. That is why honest people or truth speakers face persecution, death, violence, and threats from liars, uneducated people, supremacists, religious fanatics, corrupt people, irrational people, etc. We should fight for Julian Assange. There have been tens of thousands of Julian Assanges in various places across the globe.
